Rollover Motor Vehicle Accident - Frog Pond Road
Wednesday, March 1st, 2017
On March 1, 2017 at 11:44 hours the Swoope Volunteer Fire Company (SVFC) and Staunton-Augusta Rescue Squad (SARS) were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident with a car that had rolled over unknown amount of times.
Engine 14-5, Brush 14-8, Response 14 and Utility 14 responded to incident, Response 14 arrived first and Captain Ryan Folweiler advised Augusta County Emergency Communications Center (AECC) of overturned vehicle and both of lanes of Frog Pond Road would be shut down.
SARS Rescue 5 (Medic 53) arrived on scene to assess two adult patients, both who refused transport to the hospital.
Swoope crews waited for tow truck and then began to clear and re-open lanes as soon as possible. The incident was bought under control about an hour later.

On May 10, 2017 at 14:22 hours, the Swoope Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched for an Automobile Fire with "flames visible" on Route 262 at Morris Mill Road.Engine 14-5 responded with three personnel and arrived to find an automobile on the southbound shoulder, fully involved with fire.

On May 4, 2017 at 04:31 hours, the Swoope Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched as automatic aid to assist Verona Fire Company with a dispatched working house with flames showing. Augusta County Fire & Rescue Battalion Commander 3 arrived on scene and reported fire from the second floor window.
