It has come to our attention that there is a text message going out for a Swoope Volunteer Fire Company T-shirt. We are in no way associated with this. There is no benefit for the company with this link.
The officers and members of the Swoope Volunteer Fire Company send their deepest sympathy and prayers to the Fisher and Dooms family. The family will receive friends on Monday September 20 from 5-9pm at McDow Funeral Home in Waynesboro.
A very BIG birthday wish to our Fire Chief Chris Botkin. Thank you for your leadership, friendship, and mentorship. The officers and members hope you have an amazing day!

Swooope Volunteer Fire Company is very pleased to announce the graduation of one of our own, Tamara-Lynn Harley Bird who graduated today from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State College, College of Architecture and Urban Studies and Building Construction.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our firehouse cat “Bunkers”. Without a doubt our most famous and loved member, Bunkers has been a staple of the Swoope Volunteer Fire Company for many years.
🚨CANCELLED🚨 We are very sad to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances and situations beyond our control... we are having to cancel our Santa Run for the Swoope community this year. This event brings us so much joy and it was a very hard decision.
